I was born and raised in Indiana until I left at 19 to join the Navy. I spent seven years in the Navy working as an Intelligence Specialist and traveling the world. I met my husband while stationed in Colorado and we got married in 2016 and had our son in 2017. I've been doing the full-time mom gig and enjoying island adventures with my mini for the last three years. I love hiking and you can find me on the beach every chance I get.
I started doing CrossFit as a way to lose weight after having a baby. Before having my son I mostly stuck to cardio and calisthenics but found it wasn't giving me the results I wanted. Four years ago I saw an ad on Facebook for a gym that was offering introduction classes and decided to give it a chance. I was hooked after the first week and haven't looked back.
My favorite part of CrossFit is the community. I love going to class and having not just fellow athletes, but friends. This sport encourages teamwork and helps to build each other up. I wouldn't be where I am as an athlete if it weren't for some amazing coaches that helped push me along the way. I love watching athletes grow and gain new skills in the gym. As a coach, my number one goal is to make sure you're confident in yourself during every movement. I love breaking down lifts step by step and practicing muscle memory. I believe that the gym is for everyone, no matter what skill level there's a scaling option for everyone!
